Nicolle Wallace

Nicolle Wallace is a highly accomplished American author, political analyst, and commentator, best known for her Charlotte Kramer series of political novels. She was born in Orange County, California, in 1972, and spent her childhood in Orinda, California. Wallace's parents were a teacher and an antique dealer, and she attended Miramonte High School, where she graduated in 1990. After high school, Wallace went on to attend the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned a degree in communications. She then pursued her master's studies at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Wallace's career in journalism and politics began when she worked as a reporter for a local TV station in California. She quickly rose through the ranks and became a political reporter before becoming the press secretary for then Florida Governor Jeb Bush. Wallace was also the Communications Director at the Florida State Technology Office and played a crucial role during the 2000 Florida election recount. Her experience in Florida politics led to her appointment as the White House Communications Director under George W. Bush's administration and as a senior advisor for the McCain-Palin campaign in 2008.

In addition to her work in politics, Wallace is a bestselling author and appears regularly on news programs such as ABC’s Good Morning America, Fox News’ Sean Hannity, and Morning Joe on MSNBC. She has been credited with "injecting a tremendous amount of realism" into White House deliberations and served as a voice for more openness with reporters during her time in the White House. Wallace is known for being persuasive in the halls of the West Wing and has been described as a California native and a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She currently lives in New York City and Connecticut with her husband, Mark, a former Ambassador to the United Nations, and their vizsla, Lilly. "Eighteen Acres" is her first novel.
