S.J. Watson is a critically acclaimed English author, best known for his psychological thrillers Before I Go to Sleep and Final Cut. Watson was born in the UK and spent several years working in the National Health Service (NHS) before turning to writing.
Watson's debut novel, Before I Go to Sleep, was released in 2011 to widespread critical acclaim. The book, which tells the story of a woman suffering from amnesia who cannot remember her past, became an international bestseller and has been translated into over 40 languages. It went on to win numerous awards, including the Crime Writers' Association Award for Best Debut Novel and the Galaxy National Book Award for Crime Thriller of the Year.
