Sally Goldenbaum is a successful American author, best known for her cozy mystery and contemporary romance novels. She has written several series, including the Seaside Knitters and Queen Bees Quilt Mysteries. Goldenbaum's writing is influenced by her diverse background, which includes teaching philosophy, Latin, and creative writing, editing journals on bioethics and veterinary health care, and working for the TV station WQED-Pittsburgh.
Goldenbaum was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, a town on the shores of Lake Michigan. It was here that she met Adrienne Staff, a fellow newcomer who would become her best friend and writing partner. Together, they wrote their first book, overcoming the challenges of the unfinished novel. This experience sparked Goldenbaum's passion for writing, and she has since published more than two dozen novels.
In addition to her writing, Goldenbaum is an avid knitter and has incorporated this hobby into her Seaside Knitters Mystery series. She and her husband, Don, have three grown children and several grandchildren and have lived in Prairie Village, Kansas. However, in 2019, they made a significant move to Gloucester, a seaside town on Cape Ann, Massachusetts, which also serves as the home of the Seaside Knitters Mystery series. This move has allowed Goldenbaum to share walks along the ocean with her fictional friends, Izzy, Nell, Birdie, and Cass.
