Sam Carrington is a successful author of psychological thrillers, best known for her gripping and twist-filled novels such as "Bad Sister," "I Dare You," and "The Open House". Born and raised in England, Carrington currently resides in Devon with her husband, two border terriers, and a cat. She has a close-knit family, with three adult children and a new grandson.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Carrington worked for the NHS for fifteen years, during which she qualified as a nurse. She later completed a psychology degree and went to work for the prison service as an Offending Behaviour Programme Facilitator. These experiences within the criminal justice system had a significant impact on her and inspired her writing. After leaving the service, Carrington decided to pursue her dream of becoming a novelist, in order to spend more time with her family and focus on her passion for writing.
Carrington's debut psychological thriller, "Saving Sophie," was published in September 2016 and quickly became a Kindle eBook bestseller. The paperback edition of the book also performed well, hitting The Bookseller Heatseeker chart at #8. Carrington's success continued with the publication of her second psychological thriller, "Bad Sister," in 2017, followed by "One Little Lie" in July 2018, "The Missing Wife" in June 2019, and "I Dare You" in December 2019. Her sixth psychological thriller, "The Open House," is set to publish in December 2020.
