Samantha Greene Woodruff

Samantha Greene Woodruff is a suspense and historical fiction author who grew up in New Jersey. After her parents' divorce when she was two, she would spend one weekend a month with her father in Manhattan before he remarried. Woodruff's upbringing and education have provided her with a solid foundation in history and business, making her a well-rounded and dynamic author.

Woodruff has a BA in history from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. She spent a significant portion of her career in the corporate world, working as the senior vice president of strategy and business development, and later as the audience researcher for the Nickelodeon Kids & Family Group at MTV Networks. These experiences gave her the opportunity to tell stories to executives, further honing her ability to craft compelling narratives.

After leaving corporate life, Woodruff decided to pursue her varied passions, including teaching yoga, cooking, and taking classes at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College. It was during this time that she combined her multifaceted background with her wild imagination and passion for history, reading, and writing. The Lobotomist’s Wife is her first historical fiction novel, and she is already at work on her next book. Woodruff currently resides in southern Connecticut with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
