Sarah Cypher

Sarah Cypher is an award-winning author and freelance book editor known for her literary fiction. Her debut novel, "The Skin and Its Girl," was published by Ballantine in April 2023. Her shorter works have appeared in prominent publications such as the Washington Post, New Ohio Review, North American Review, and Crab Orchard Review.

Cypher holds an MFA from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, where she was a Rona Jaffe Graduate Creative Writing Fellow in fiction. Her writing often explores themes of identity, family, and cultural heritage, influenced by her Lebanese Christian upbringing near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She currently resides in Washington, D.C., with her wife.
