Sarah Mlynowski

Sarah Mlynowski is a successful author, known for her work in children's, young adult, and women's fiction. She was born in Montreal, Canada and went on to study English literature at McGill University, where she graduated with honors. After completing her studies, Mlynowski moved to Toronto and began working for Harlequin Enterprises, a leading publisher in the romance genre. This experience provided her with valuable insights into the publishing world, which she would later use to her advantage when publishing her own work.

Mlynowski's debut novel, "Milkrun," was a huge success, selling over 600,000 copies worldwide and being published in over 16 countries. This early success gave her the confidence to quit her job and pursue a full-time career in writing. She has since written several bestselling novels, including "Fishbowl," which was declared one of the Best Women's Fiction books of 2002 by Waldenbooks.

In addition to her work as a novelist, Mlynowski has also written short stories and co-authored a nonfiction title on how to write chick lit. She is perhaps best known for her "Whatever After" series of children's novels, which is a New York Times bestseller. Mlynowski is also a co-founder of OMG BookFest, a celebration of books aimed at early to middle grade readers that brings together commercial and award-winning authors with underserved local communities.

Mlynowski has had a successful career as a writer, with her books being translated into twenty-nine languages and optioned to Hollywood. She was born in Montreal but now lives and writes in New York City, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
