Sarah Sheridan

Sarah Sheridan is a British author known for her crime fiction and children's literature. Her debut crime novel, "The Convent," drew inspiration from her academic research into secrecy and marginalized communities, particularly the biological children of Roman Catholic priests. She also created the popular children's series "The Top Secret Diary of Davina Dupree," which began with a 2013 novel inspired by her daughter. Sheridan's works explore themes of institutional silence and personal resilience across different genres.

Before becoming a full-time writer, Sheridan earned a Master's degree in Eighteenth-Century French and English art from the Courtauld Institute of Art and taught secondary school art for thirteen years. Her career shifted toward human rights advocacy, working with organizations protecting minority groups from institutional abuse, before pursuing doctoral research at The Open University. This diverse professional background informs her writing's psychological depth and social awareness. Sheridan has discussed her research internationally, appearing on BBC programs and other global media outlets.

An avid reader and prolific writer, Sheridan maintains an extensive personal library and continues to produce new works. When not writing, she enjoys spending time with her three children, numerous pets, and partner Rich in their South Northamptonshire village. Her literary journey reflects a lifelong passion for storytelling that began with secretly crafting tales during her childhood.
