Scarlett Thomas

Scarlett Thomas is a British author born in London in 1972. She has written numerous critically acclaimed novels, including "The End of Mr. Y," which was longlisted for the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction in 2007, and "PopCo," both of which have been translated into over 25 languages. Her body of work spans literary fiction, with titles such as "Bright Young Things," "Going Out," and "The Seed Collectors," as well as a literary fantasy series for children.

Thomas's writing often blends intellectual depth with imaginative storytelling, exploring themes of philosophy, science, and human relationships. In addition to her fiction, she authored "Monkeys with Typewriters," a book on writing craft. Her literary achievements include being shortlisted for the South African Boeke Prize and receiving an Elle Style Award. Currently, she serves as Professor of Creative Writing & Contemporary Fiction at the University of Kent. Residing in a Victorian house near the sea, Thomas continues to write while working on a new novel and television projects.
