Sean Sweeney is an American author, well-known for his thriller, mystery, and fantasy novels and novellas. Sweeney's passion for writing took root in high school when he began writing for the local newspaper. His love for reading had already been ignited in 1988 when he first read J.R.R. Tolkien's classic, "The Hobbit." This literary experience, followed by his exposure to John Grisham novels and the Star Wars Expanded Universe in the 1990s, further fueled his desire to write.
Born and raised in North Central Massachusetts in 1977, Sweeney has been writing for various newspapers and radio stations since his high school days. His writing career has seen him produce over 29 novels, several novellas, and short stories. When he's not engrossed in writing, Sweeney finds pleasure in a variety of activities. He is an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New England Revolution, and Arsenal F.C. Additionally, he enjoys watching Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, as well as British mysteries and Doctor Who. Living in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Sweeney shares his home with his wife and their four cats, Finn, Diva, Squeaky, and Spooky.
