Serena Burdick

Serena Burdick is a accomplished author of Chick Lit, History, and fiction. She is best known for her bestselling novels such as "The Girls with No Names" and "Girl in the Afternoon." Burdick's love for storytelling began at a young age, regaling her parents with stories from the play yard by the time she was six. Raised in the small town of Millers Falls, she excelled at Bernardston’s Full Circle School's children's creative writing program. However, it would be many years before she returned to writing and became a professional author.

Burdick initially aspired to become a professional actor. She enrolled at Sarah Lawrence College, but being a young adult at the time, she was prone to making mistakes and quit the program. She then moved to California and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Art, where she met her future husband. Together, they traveled to various places, including New York City, Sweden, and Aspen, before deciding to return home to Franklin County. While she was away, Burdick still dreamed of making it big in theater. However, something changed during her time in New York.

Serena Burdick is the author of several novels, including "Girl in the Afternoon," "The Girls with No Names," "Find Me in Havana," and "The Stolen Book of Evelyn Aubrey." She is the winner of the 2017 International Book Award for Historical Fiction. Burdick holds an Associates of Arts degree from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in theater and a Bachelors of Arts from Brooklyn College in English literature. She currently resides in Massachusetts with her family.
