Shanna Hogan

Shanna Hogan was a New York Times bestselling American author and journalist, who specialized in writing crime and non-fiction books. She was best known for her book "Picture Perfect: The Jodi Arias Story," which brought her significant fame. Hogan was a talented writer who received more than twenty awards for her feature writing and investigative reporting.

Hogan was a graduate of Arizona State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in journalism in 2005. Her talent and hard work were recognized in 2009 when she was awarded the Arizona Press Club's Virg Hill Journalist of the Year. In 2011, she received the Journalist of the Year award from the Arizona Newspaper Association.

Shanna Hogan lived in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Matt LaRussa, and their son Zander. In addition to her writing, she was an adjunct professor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Hogan was a beloved member of the community and an inspiration to many aspiring journalists.

Sadly, Shanna Hogan passed away on September 1, 2020, after being found unresponsive in her swimming pool following a fall.
