Shannon Kirk is an accomplished American author and practicing attorney, known for her award-winning novels. She was born in Easton, Pennsylvania, and spent her early years moving around the country with her family, living in Upstate New York, Indiana, Massachusetts, and finally settling in Raymond, New Hampshire, where she attended Trinity High School and West Virginia Wesleyan before going to St. John's for college.
Kirk has written several books, including "The Extraordinary Journey of Vivienne Marshall" and "Method 15/33," which received critical acclaim and multiple awards. "Method 15/33" was a national and international success, winning the 2015 Foreword Review Book of the Year for Suspense, IBPA GOLD Winner, the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award for Best Suspense, and was a finalist in the 2013 William Faulkner William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition. The book was also optioned for film and has been translated into over twenty languages. "The Extraordinary Journey of Vivienne Marshall" has also been well-received, earning the Literary Classics Seal of Approval and being compared to Life of Pi.
In addition to her novels, Kirk has contributed to several thriller anthologies, including "Night of the Flood," "Swamp Killers," and an upcoming anthology on Border Noir. She is a member of International Thriller Writers and Mystery Writers of America and has been honored three times by the William Faulkner William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition for various works. When not writing, Kirk practices law and resides on Massachusetts' Cape Ann with her husband and son, along with two cat writing accomplices. She enjoys writing in several genres, including literary fiction, psychological thriller, young adult, and poetry.
