Sharon Sala

Sharon Sala is a prominent American author, well-known for her works in the romance, romantic suspense, women's fiction, and young adult genres. She has written over 50 novels, with many of them becoming bestsellers on the New York Times, USA Today, and Publisher's Weekly lists. Sala is a respected member of the Romance Writers of America and has received numerous industry awards for her writing.

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Sala still resides in the state, within a two-hour drive of where she was born. She began her writing career in 1991 and has since published over 135 books and novellas in six different genres, including romantic suspense, mystery, young adult, western, fiction, women's fiction, and non-fiction. Her writing has earned her numerous accolades, including eight RITA finalist nominations, five Career Achievement awards from RT Magazine, five National Reader's Choice Awards, and five Colorado Romance Writer's Award of Excellence wins. She has also won the Heart of Excellence Award, Booksellers Best Award, the Janet Dailey Award, and the Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sala's writing journey began at a young age, having been introduced to books at the age of four. Her love for romance was sparked by the stories of Emily Loring, Grace Livingston Hill, and Zane Gray. Despite writing her first book in 1980 and a second in 1981, she did not pursue writing again until after the death of her father and sister in 1985. The fear of dying with unfulfilled dreams drove her to join writer groups and hone her craft, leading to her first published book. Since then, she has become a prolific and successful author, with her books consistently appearing on bestseller lists and earning her numerous awards and accolades.
