Shauna Holyoak is an American novelist specializing in middle-grade fiction, best known for her Kazu Jones Mystery series. Her debut novel, "Kazu Jones and the Denver Dognappers," was published by Disney-Hyperion in 2019, followed by the second installment in the series in 2020. With a passion for storytelling that began in childhood, Holyoak has built a career writing for young readers, which she describes as one of the most rewarding professions.
Before becoming a novelist, Holyoak honed her craft as a humor columnist, contributing to publications such as The River City Weekly and The Post Register. She holds a master’s degree in English Literature with a focus on creative writing from Brigham Young University, which laid the groundwork for her narrative style. Holyoak resides in Idaho Falls with her family, including her husband, six of their seven children, and their two mischievous dogs.
