Sheena Patel

Sheena Patel is a talented writer and assistant director for film and television, hailing from North West London. With a strong voice and unique perspective, Patel has made a name for herself as a member of the 4 BROWN GIRLS WHO WRITE collective. This group of writers has been published in a pamphlet collection under the same name by Rough Trade Books in 2020, as well as in a poetry collection by FEM Press in 2018. Patel's work has also been featured in several anthologies, including Slam! You’re Gonna Wanna Hear This chosen by Nikita Gill and She Will Soar edited by Ana Sampson (Pan Macmillan 2020.)

In addition to her written work, Patel has also made a mark in the world of film and television. Her talents in assistant directing have no doubt contributed to her success in the industry. In 2022, Patel was recognized for her literary achievements with a spot on the Observer’s Top 10 best debut novelists list. Her first book, I’m A Fan, was published by Rough Trade Books. Through her writing and other creative endeavors, Patel continues to make an impact and inspire others with her powerful voice and unique storytelling.
