She writes women's fiction under the name Shelley Noble and is also known for her amateur sleuth mystery series, which she writes as Shelley Freydont.
Noble's love for dance and theatre is evident in her work, as she has worked as a professional dancer and choreographer in the past. She has contributed to films such as Mona Lisa Smile and The Game Plan and has consulted on various dance and theatre projects, including the world premiere of a full-length Tom Sawyer ballet commissioned by Kansas City Ballet.
