Sherri Duskey Rinker is a children's book author who has always had a passion for picture books. This passion was ignited during her childhood, thanks to her mother's indulgence in buying her picture books. Rinker's love for storytelling was nurtured from a young age, and she has since returned to this passion to share her children's interests with the world.
Rinker is a graphic designer who lives in Chicago with her photographer husband, a cockapoo named Quincy, several fish, a few hermit crabs, an ever-changing array of insects in jars, and two energetic and inquisitive young boys. Her sons' fascination with bugs and magic, as well as their obsession with trucks and trains, have been a significant source of inspiration for Rinker's writing. She hopes to share her children's enthusiasm with others and create happier bedtimes and sweet dreams for all.
Rinker's debut book, "Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site," was picked up from the slush pile, showcasing the power of perseverance and the importance of following one's passion. Her writing is a tribute to her children, as she strives to capture their unique personalities and interests on the page. Rinker's books are love stories for her children, filled with humor and affection. She is not only a talented writer but also a dedicated mother who is committed to sharing her love for storytelling with the world.
