Shirley Dickson

Shirley Dickson is a successful fiction author, best known for her debut novel, "The Orphans Sisters." She has always been passionate about writing, having written her first short story for a children's magazine competition at the young age of ten. Although she did not win the competition, the experience ignited a spark in her that would last a lifetime.

Dickson spent many years writing poetry and short stories, receiving numerous rejection slips along the way. However, she never gave up on her dream of becoming a published author. After retiring, she decided to take her writing more seriously and focus on writing novels. This decision ultimately paid off when she signed a two-book deal with Bookouture in 2018.

Dickson's writing is particularly notable for her stirring World War Two historical novels. She has written a total of five novels to date and has become a USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling author. Dickson's love for researching all aspects of World War Two, especially life on the Homefront, shines through in her writing.

Dickson currently resides in Northumberland with her family and Persian cat, where she enjoys the big skies and beautiful landscapes that surround her. She is grateful for the support of her readers, reviewers, and book bloggers, and encourages them to follow her on her Facebook "Shirley Dickson Author" page. Dickson is a prime example of the power of perseverance and demonstrates that with hard work and dedication, it is never too late to achieve one's dreams.
