Silvia Park is an American author whose work spans speculative fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. Their stories have appeared in prestigious publications such as "Black Warrior Review," "Tor," and "The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy." Park's debut novel, "Luminous," marks their entry into long-form fiction, further establishing their presence in the literary world.
Park holds an MFA from NYU and has honed their craft through notable programs, including the Clarion Science and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop and the Tin House Summer Workshop. Their writing often explores themes of identity and transformation, blending speculative elements with deeply human narratives. Currently, Park teaches fiction at the University of Kansas while dividing their time between Lawrence, Kansas, and Seoul, South Korea.
