Simon Toyne

Simon Toyne is a highly successful British author, best known for his thriller novels. He was born on February 29, 1968, in Cleethorpes, England, and spent his formative years in Peterborough. Toyne pursued his higher education at Goldsmiths College, University of London, where he studied English and Drama. After completing his studies, he embarked on a career in television that lasted for twenty years. During this time, he worked as a producer, director, and screenwriter.

Toyne's passion for storytelling, however, remained unabated. He decided to focus on writing and quit his job as a TV executive in 2007. His first book, "Sanctus," became an instant success, selling over 400,000 copies in its first year and becoming the biggest selling debut thriller of 2011 in the UK. The book was also an international bestseller, translated into 27 languages and published in over 50 countries.

Toyne's success continued with the publication of the Sanctus series, including "The Key" (2012) and "The Tower" (2013), which became bestsellers in the thriller, crime, and conspiracy genre, selling in many countries worldwide and translated into over 20 languages. His other notable works include "Dark Objects" and the Solomon Creed series. Toyne currently lives with his wife and three children in Brighton, the South of France, and various cafes and bookshops in between and wherever his books are sold.
