Søren Hammer is a Danish author and former lecturer best known for his crime fiction collaborations with his sister, Lotte Hammer. The siblings debuted in 2010 with their critically acclaimed novel "Svinehunde" ("The Beast Within"), marking the beginning of their writing partnership. Prior to his literary career, Hammer held a teaching degree and worked as a programmer while lecturing at Copenhagen University College of Engineering.
Alongside his professional background in technology and education, Hammer has maintained a strong political engagement that occasionally informs his writing. His transition to full-time writing in 2010 allowed him to focus on crafting gripping crime narratives, often characterized by their psychological depth and social commentary. Together with Lotte Hammer, he has established himself as a prominent figure in Scandinavian crime fiction.
