Stacey Cochran is a renowned author, originally from and currently residing in the Carolinas. He was born and raised in the region, with his family having lived there since the mid 1700s. Cochran is known for his writing in fiction, and has received recognition for his work through several award nominations and wins. His love for writing began early, earning him a finalist spot for the 1998 Dell Magazines Award for Undergraduate Fiction.
Cochran's academic background in writing solidified his passion and skill for storytelling. He earned his Master's Degree in Creative Writing from East Carolina University in 2001. Cochran's work has been well received, with one of his most famous pieces, "In Love with Eleanor Rigby," winning the Rebel Literary Magazine First Prize in 2000. This work went on to become a best-selling Kindle novella in 2011 and was published in CutBank in 2011.
