Stacey Halls

Stacey Halls is a renowned English author, known for her historical fiction and fantasy novels. Born in Lancashire, England, in the year 1989, Halls grew up as the daughter of market traders and developed an early interest in the Pendle witches, a fascination that would later influence her work.

Halls pursued journalism at the University of Central Lancashire and moved to London when she was 21. Her career in journalism began at The Bookseller as a media editor, followed by a stint as books editor at Stylist.co.uk. She has also contributed to various publications, including Psychologies, the Independent, and Fabulous magazine, where she currently works as Deputy Chief Sub Editor.

Halls' debut novel, "The Familiars," was published in 2019 and quickly became a bestseller, winning a Betty Trask Award and being shortlisted for the British Book Awards’ Debut Book of the Year. Her second novel, "The Foundling," was also a Sunday Times top ten bestseller. "Mrs England" is her latest novel, further establishing her reputation as a skilled and captivating writer in the historical fiction genre.
