Stacy Davidowitz

Stacy Davidowitz is a Manhattan-based author, playwright, and screenwriter known for her work across multiple genres, including children's literature, theater, and musicals. She is the author of the four-book "Camp Rolling Hills" series, published by Abrams – Amulet, and co-wrote "Camp Rolling Hills the Musical," which has been staged nationwide. Her recent collaboration with Tony Award winner Ali Stroker, "The Chance to Fly," explores themes of perseverance and self-discovery through the story of a Broadway-loving protagonist who uses a wheelchair. Davidowitz also penned the "Hanazuki" chapter-book series, inspired by Hasbro’s YouTube content.

With a background in drama and acting, Davidowitz has crafted numerous award-winning plays and musicals that have been produced internationally. Her theatrical works include "The Rubber Room," "PINK!," "Sacred Water," and "Miracle Village," among others, published by Broadway Play Publishing, Stage Rights, and YouthPLAYS. Her screenplay adaptation of "The Rubber Room" is currently in pre-production. Davidowitz holds a BS from Tufts University and an MFA in Acting from Columbia University. Beyond writing, she teaches creative writing and musical theater in diverse settings, including schools and juvenile detention centers. She resides in Manhattan with her family.
