Stan Nicholls

Stan Nicholls is a British author and journalist best known for his contributions to fantasy and science fiction. His most acclaimed works include the internationally bestselling "Orcs: First Blood" trilogy, comprising "Bodyguard of Lightning," "Legion of Thunder," and "Warriors of the Tempest," which has sold over a million copies worldwide. Nicholls expanded the series with a second trilogy, "Orcs: Bad Blood," and a collection of prequel stories titled "Orcs: Tales of Maras-Dantia." His graphic novel adaptation, "Orcs: Forged For War," earned critical acclaim, including the 2011 Geek Life Award for Best Comic Book of the Year.

Nicholls has authored more than thirty books across multiple genres, including the "Quicksilver" trilogy ("Quicksilver Rising," "Quicksilver Zenith," "Quicksilver Twilight") and the "Nightshade Chronicles" trilogy. He has adapted works by David Gemmell into graphic novels and penned authorized biographies of notable figures such as Gerry Anderson.
