Stephanie McAfee is a bestselling romance author, best known for her "Misadventures of a Mad Fat Girl" series. She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, just like Elvis Presley, and has a deep appreciation for the southern way of life. This includes a love for sweet tea, fresh seafood, and SEC football. After living in the Wild Wild West, McAfee discovered that she belonged in the South and now resides in Florida.
McAfee has a B.A. in English from the University of Mississippi and an M.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Alabama. Her work history is varied, ranging from dispatching at her father’s trucking company to teaching high school Spanish and temping at a technology consulting firm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Despite her diverse work experience, McAfee decided one day to write a book, and her debut novel, "Diary of a Mad Fat Girl," was born. The book became a USA Today and New York Times bestseller.
