Stephen Templin is a New York Times and internationally best-selling author, known for his thrilling and action-packed novels. His books have been translated into thirteen languages and have even been turned into movies, with the movie rights to his book SEAL Team Six being purchased by Vin Diesel. Templin has worked with some of the biggest publishers in the industry, including Simon and Schuster, Macmillan, and Hachette UK.
Templin's writing style is characterized as "action-packed, harrowing, and adrenaline-laced" by the New York Times. While he was never a SEAL, he did undergo Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training, where he qualified as a pistol and rifle expert, blew up things, practiced small-unit tactics, and completed Hell Week - some of the toughest military training in the world. Templin's experiences during BUD/S training have provided him with valuable insights and knowledge, which he has used to great effect in his writing.
Beyond his military background, Templin is also an accomplished academic, having earned a PhD in education. He spent fourteen years lecturing as a tenured professor at Meio University in Japan, where he became fluent in speaking Japanese and trained in the martial art of aikido. Currently, Templin resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and enjoys his hobby as a dark chocolate thief. He is active on social media and offers a free book to readers who visit his website.
