Steve Brown is a prolific author, known for his mystery thriller and historical fiction novels. A dyed-in-the-wool South Carolinian, Brown attended the University of North Alabama, where he earned a degree in political science and history. After graduation, he served with the 25th Infantry in Vietnam, where he was a combat platoon leader. Brown's writing career began in 1999 with the publication of his debut novel, "Of Love and War," a historical novel set in the backdrop of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
Brown's first novel was well-received, and he went on to publish "Black Fire," a suspense novel set in the modern South. This was followed by "Color Her Dead," the first novel in his longest-running series to date, the "Susan Chase" series. Brown is a member of several professional author organizations, including Sisters in Crime and Mystery Writers of America. Despite his success as a novelist, Brown's writing career is just one part of his professional life.
In addition to his work as a novelist, Steve Brown is also a radio broadcaster, seminary professor, and the founder of the Key Life Network. He previously served as a pastor for over twenty-five years and now devotes much of his time to the radio broadcasts Key Life and Steve Brown, Etc. With such varied experience and unique perspective on life, Brown has become known for his refreshing and practical biblical applications. He serves as Professor Emeritus of Preaching and Pastoral Ministry at Reformed Theological Seminary and sits on the board of the National Religious Broadcasters and Harvest USA. Brown is a much-in-demand speaker, traveling extensively for speaking engagements.
