Stuart Neville is a critically acclaimed author of hardboiled crime fiction novels. Born in 1972, he currently resides in a small town in Northern Ireland with his family, just outside of Belfast, the city that often serves as the backdrop for his thrilling novels. Prior to becoming a writer, Neville had a diverse range of experiences, including working as a musician, composer, teacher, salesman, film extra, baker, and hand double for a well-known Irish comedian. He is also a partner in a successful multimedia design business in the wilds of Northern Ireland.
Neville's debut novel, "The Twelve," published in the USA as "The Ghosts of Belfast," was a great success. It won the Mystery/Thriller category of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and was chosen as one of the top crime novels of 2009 by both the New York Times and the LA Times. He has been shortlisted for various awards, including the Barry, Macavity, Dilys awards, as well as the Irish Book Awards Crime Novel of the Year. Neville has since published several critically acclaimed sequels, including "Collusion," "Stolen Souls," and "The Final Silence." His novels have been translated into many different languages, and his fourth novel, "Ratlines," about Nazis harbored by the Irish state following WWII, is currently in development for television.
