Stuart Woods

Stuart Woods was an acclaimed American author, best known for his series featuring characters like Will Lee, Stone Barrington, Holly Barker, Ed Eagle, and Rick Barron. Woods was born in Georgia in 1938 and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1959. After completing his education, he served in the National Guard and then moved to New York to pursue a career in advertising.

Woods's career as a novelist took off with the success of his Stone Barrington and Holly Barker series, both of which became New York Times bestsellers. In fact, out of his forty-four novels, the last twenty-eight have made it to the New York Times bestseller list. Woods was not only a prolific writer but also an avid private pilot who enjoyed flying his own jet on his book tours.
