Sue Fortin

Sue Fortin is a successful author of women’s fiction, suspense, and contemporary novels. She was born in Hertfordshire, England, but spent her childhood moving around to different neighborhoods with her family before eventually settling in West Sussex. Fortin has developed a love for cakes and dragonflies, but has a strong dislike for snakes, math, and calories.

Writing under the name Sue Fortin, she has gained popularity for her novels such as “The Girl Who Lied” and “Closing In,” which became number one on the Amazon bestseller list in the United Kingdom and number one in the Kobo Romantic Suspense Chart in 2014, respectively. Fortin has also been an award-winning USA Today and Amazon best-selling author, as well as an international bestseller. She has reached number one in the Amazon UK Kindle chart and number three in the US Kindle chart.

In addition to writing as Sue Fortin, Fortin also writes women’s fiction dual-timeline under the name Suzanne Fortin. Her books, predominantly set in France, feature courageous women in extraordinary circumstances with love and family at the heart of all the stories. Fortin has a home in the Morbihan region of France, which has been a significant source of inspiration for her writing. She has a strong passion for France and visits as often as she can with her husband and family. Fortin has been a bookworm since childhood, and it was during her maternity leave with her fourth child that she decided to write her own stories. She joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association under their New Writers’ Scheme, and after a year of working on her novel, she self-published “United States of Love,” a contemporary romance. This book was later picked up by a traditional publisher, HarperCollins, and republished under their imprint HarperImpulse (now One More Chapter). Fortin went on to publish seven more books in the romantic suspense genre with HarperCollins. Her latest book, “The Forgotten Life of Arthur Pettinger,” was released in early 2021 with Head of Zeus imprint, Aria Fiction.
