Susan Andersen is a successful American author, best known for her contemporary romance and romantic suspense novels. She was born in Seattle, Washington, and spent her childhood in a male-dominated household, which included her father, two elderly brothers, and grandfather. This upbringing exposed her to the unique experiences and challenges of growing up in a household with many men, which later influenced her writing.
Before becoming a writer, Susan worked as a dental assistant, a profession she chose despite not enjoying working for dentists. However, after turning 30, she decided to try her hand at writing an entire novel, a decision that would ultimately change her life. Susan's writing is known for its humor, sassiness, and sexy, edgy men, as well as its strong and taming women. Her books have spent many weeks on the USAToday and New York Times bestseller lists, and have twice been included in RWA's Top Ten Favorite Books of the Year.
Susan is married to her high school sweetheart and is the proud mother of a grown son. She is a native of the Pacific Northwest, where she currently resides with her husband and two cats. Despite the challenges of being surrounded by men, Susan has managed to stay afloat in the "testosterone pool" and has used her experiences to create engaging and relatable characters in her novels. Her unique perspective and writing style have earned her three nominations (and one win) for Romantic Times Magazine's Reviewer's Choice Awards.
