Susan Goldman Rubin

Susan Goldman Rubin is an accomplished author of over fifty nonfiction books for young readers, specializing in art, history, and biography. Her notable works include "Andy Warhol: Pop Art Painter," "The Yellow House: Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin Side by Side," and "Edward Hopper: Painter of Light and Shadow." She has also explored themes of social justice in titles such as "Freedom Summer: The 1964 Struggle for Civil Rights in Mississippi" and delved into musical biography with "Music Was It! Young Leonard Bernstein."

Originally from the Bronx, Rubin initially pursued a career as an artist and illustrated her first three picture books before transitioning to writing.
