Susan Holloway Scott is a renowned author of historical fiction, who was born in Washington D.C. but spent her formative years in northern New Jersey. Scott's love for history was no doubt shaped by her upbringing in an area that was rich in American colonial history. She went on to study art history at Brown University, where she earned her B.A, which later inspired her to write her first book.
Scott has written over fifty historical novels and novellas, using various pen names, including Miranda Jarrett and Isabella Bradford. Her works have received numerous awards and honors, and her books have been translated into fourteen different languages, with more than three million copies in print. She has a wide international following, with her books published in nineteen foreign countries around the world.
Scott's writing career has been highly successful, and she has been recognized for her significant contributions to historical fiction. In addition to her solo work, she has also written as half of the Two Nerdy History Girls, a popular book and history blog with a global following. Scott is an active user of social media, with a presence on Instagram and Twitter, where she shares her thoughts and insights on historical fiction and other related topics. She is a graduate of Brown University and currently resides in Philadelphia with her family.
