Susan Wiggs is a bestselling American author, well-known for her historical and contemporary romance novels. Wiggs' passion for writing began at a young age. By the time she was eight, she had already completed her first novel, titled "A Book About Some Bad Kids." After taking a brief break from writing, Wiggs returned to it as an adult, with her first novel for grown-ups initially having the working title of "A Book About Some Bad Adults."
Wiggs is a graduate of Harvard University and has won multiple RITA awards, which is the highest honor available to a romance author. She is a prolific writer, and her books have been translated into over two dozen languages. Many of her novels have been national bestsellers, including on the USA Today, Washington Post, and New York Times lists. In addition to her writing, Wiggs is also an active member of her community. She serves as the author liaison for Field's End, a literary community on Bainbridge Island, Washington, and is a popular speaker both locally and nationally.
Wiggs' life is centered around family, friends, and fiction. She currently resides on an island in Puget Sound, Washington, and commutes to her writer's group in a 17-foot motorboat. She is an avid hiker, amateur photographer, good skier, and terrible golfer, but her favorite form of exercise is curling up with a good book. Wiggs is also a former teacher and a Harvard graduate. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs and connecting with her readers on her blog and social media channels.
