Susan Wolfe is an accomplished author and attorney. She holds a law degree from Stanford University and a B.A. from the University of Chicago. After practicing law full time for four years, Wolfe decided to pursue a career in writing. Her first novel, "The Last Billable Hour," was a bestseller and won the Edgar Award for Best First Novel.
After her success in publishing, Wolfe returned to the practice of law for sixteen more years. She worked as a criminal defense attorney and then as an in-house lawyer for Silicon Valley high-tech companies. This experience gave her a unique perspective and insight into the world of law, which she would later incorporate into her writing.
Wolfe was born and raised in San Bernardino, California. She currently resides in Palo Alto, California, with her husband, Ralph DeVoe. In October 2016, she published her second novel, "Escape Velocity." Wolfe's writing is informed by her background in law and her experiences in Silicon Valley, making her a compelling and unique voice in the world of fiction.
