Suyi Davies Okungbowa

Suyi Davies Okngbowa is a talented author who was born in Benin City, Nigeria, in 1989. He spent much of his childhood near the University of Benin, where both of his parents were employed. Okngbowa later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the same university, between 2006 and 2011. After completing his education, he moved to Niger State, Minna, and then to Lagos.

Okngbowa is well-known for his exceptional work in the genres of fantasy, science fiction, and general speculative work. His latest novel, Son of the Storm, is the first book in the epic fantasy trilogy, The Nameless Republic. He has also written a godpunk fantasy novel, David Mogo, Godhunter, which won the 2020 Nommo Ilube Award for Best Novel. Okngbowa's shorter works have been featured in various anthologies and periodicals and have received nominations for several awards.

In addition to his work as an author, Okngbowa is also a passionate writer for younger audiences, using the pen name Suyi Davies. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona and is currently an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Ottawa.
