Suzan Colon

Suzan Colón is an accomplished author and former Senior Editor of "O, the Oprah Magazine". She is best known for her memoir "Cherries in Winter: My Family's Recipe for Hope in Hard Times", published by Doubleday in 2010, which blends personal narrative with comfort food recipes as a reflection on resilience during economic hardship. The book was later released in paperback with additional chapters and recipes. Colón has also authored "Yoga Mind: Journey Beyond the Physical", a transformative guide to yoga practice, and the novel "Beach Glass". Her work spans genres, including nonfiction, fiction, and young adult literature.

In addition to her books, Colón has contributed essays to "O, the Oprah Magazine", "Oprah.com", "The Huffington Post", and "MindBodyGreen", with several pieces featured in "Oprah Magazine"'s "Best of" anthologies. Her writing often explores themes of self-discovery, perseverance, and mindfulness. Earlier in her career, she wrote young adult novels inspired by the "Smallville" TV series and children's books based on "Batman".
