Tahmima Anam is an award-winning novelist, short story writer, and anthropologist recognized for her literary contributions across multiple genres. She has been honored as a Granta Best Young British Novelist and received both a Commonwealth Writers Prize and an O. Henry Award for her fiction. Her works, including her latest novel "The Startup Wife," have appeared in prominent publications such as Granta, The New York Times, and The Guardian.
Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Anam pursued higher education at Mount Holyoke College and Harvard University before establishing herself as a writer. Her background in anthropology often informs her storytelling, blending cultural insights with compelling narratives. Based in London, she serves on the board of ROLI, a music technology company, while maintaining her literary career. Anam was elected as a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, further cementing her status as a significant voice in contemporary literature.
