Taj McCoy is an Oakland-born author and law graduate whose writing celebrates Black and biracial women of color, plus-sized protagonists, and themes of Black love, joy, and familial bonds. Her early passion for storytelling led to her first publications in elementary school, and she later pursued writing alongside her legal studies, completing her debut novel in 2018. McCoy secured literary representation in 2019, marking a significant milestone in her career. Beyond her writing, McCoy is an active advocate for marginalized voices in publishing and entertainment.
