Talya Tate Boerner is an Arkansas-based novelist whose works explore themes of nostalgia, nature, and Southern life. She is the author of four novels, including "The Accidental Salvation of Gracie Lee," "Gene Everywhere," "Bernice Runs Away," and her most recent release, "The Third Act of Theo Gruene." After a 25-year career as a Dallas banker and commercial lender, Boerner returned to her Arkansas roots to pursue writing full-time.
Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, Boerner's writing reflects her deep connection to the Ozark Mountains, where she resides with her husband and two miniature schnauzers. A certified Arkansas Master Naturalist, Master Gardener, and phenologist, she often incorporates her passion for gardening, wildlife, and seasonal changes into her storytelling. Beyond writing, she maintains a pollinator garden and documents natural observations, blending her creative pursuits with her love of the outdoors.
