Born in New Delhi, Malik spent her formative years in India, Africa, and the Middle East, attending boarding schools in the Himalayan foothills before graduating from the University of Delhi with a degree in Geography. Her multicultural upbringing and professional experiences in travel marketing and the non-profit sector inform her writing. Malik currently divides her time between the San Francisco Bay Area and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
