Tara Moss

Tara Moss is a diverse and accomplished author, documentary host, and human rights advocate. She was born in Australia in 1973 and is a dual Canadian/Australian citizen, currently residing in Vancouver with her family. Moss has a wide range of experiences and credentials, including earning her private investigator credentials from the Australian Security Academy and becoming a PhD Candidate at the University of Sydney. She is also a mother and a wife.

Moss has written 14 books, including the internationally bestselling historical thriller "The Ghosts of Paris" and the critically acclaimed non-fiction book "The Fictional Woman." Her work has been published in 19 countries and 13 languages. In addition to her writing, Moss is an outspoken advocate for the rights of women, children, and people with disabilities. She has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2007 and UNICEF Australia’s National Ambassador for Child Survival since 2013, visiting various locations in her UNICEF role, including Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon.

Moss is also an experienced documentary host and interviewer, with a passion for research and human stories. She has hosted true crime documentary series, author interview shows, and a series on RN (Radio National) Australia. In 2018, she hosted "Cyberhate with Tara Moss" on Australia’s ABC, examining the phenomenon of online abuse and giving her address to the nation, “Cyberhate and Beyond,” at the National Press Club in 2017. She is also an advocate for disability and chronic pain visibility, bringing attention to the need to normalize mobility aids.

Moss has received numerous awards for her advocacy and writing, including the Best Non-Fiction Book Design in 2015 for "The Fictional Woman" and the Global Top 50 Diversity Figures in Public Life in 2017 for using her position in public life to make a positive impact in diversity. She is a new signing with Aevitas Literary Management in New York.
