Teresa Michael is an award-winning author known for her cozy mystery series, including the Mariposa Café Mystery Series and the Harrington House B&B series. Her novel "Murder with a Terrace View" earned critical acclaim, winning the 2025 Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Literary Award for mystery and being named a Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award Top Pick. A full-time writer since retiring from a career in health information management and technology, she crafts engaging whodunits that blend intrigue with relatable settings.
Before dedicating herself to writing, Michael led a dynamic professional life, including nine years as a healthcare software consultant that took her to 49 U.S. states. She also served as Team Manager for the U.S. Archery Team during the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, as well as other international tournaments. Her passion for travel and diverse experiences often informs her storytelling. An active member of the mystery writing community, she has held leadership roles in the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of Sisters in Crime and belongs to the Mystery Writers of America.
Residing in Sarasota, Florida, with her husband and their cat, Michael is currently developing new installments in both her Mariposa Café and Harrington House series. When not writing, she enjoys outdoor adventures, culinary delights, and planning trips to finally visit her 50th state.
