Terrence McCauley is a distinguished author, known for his works in thriller, crime fiction, and western genres. He has published many novels under his name and also as Terrence P. McCauley. McCauley's western novels, including "Where the Bullets Fly" and "Dark Territory," have been finalists for the Western Writers of America’s Silver Spur Award, with "Where the Bullets Fly" winning the Western Fictioneers Award for Best Novel in 2018. His series of Aaron Mackey westerns has been well-received, with the third and fourth books, "Get Out of Town" and "The Dark Sunrise," published in 2020.
In addition to his western novels, McCauley has written three stand-alone novels for the successful Ralph Compton Series at Berkeley, including "The Kelly Trail," "Ride the Hammer Down," and "Stagecoach to Hell." He has also penned the acclaimed University Series, which includes "The Fairfax Incident," "A Conspiracy of Ravens," "A Murder of Crows," and "Sympathy for the Devil." Moreover, McCauley has written two award-winning crime fiction novels set in 1930 New York City, "Prohibition" and "Slow Burn." His World War I novella, "The Devil Dogs of Belleau Wood," won the Silver Medal for Historical Fiction from the Military Writers Society of America, with proceeds from sales going directly to benefit the Semper Fi Fund.
