His debut thriller, "Chained Guilt," earned the NIEA Thriller of the Year award, establishing his reputation in the genre. Keys has also contributed as a writer for Examiner.com while maintaining a parallel career as a project manager in the oil and gas industry.

A native of Rosharon, Texas, Keys draws inspiration from his Southern roots and diverse professional background.
