Tessa Dunlop

Tessa Dunlop is a talented television presenter, radio broadcaster, and historian, who was born around 1974. She received her education at Strathallan School, St. Hilda's College, and Oxford University, where she studied history and won the Gertrude Easton Prize. After graduating, Dunlop began her career in radio, working for LBC (a London radio station) and presenting shows for LBC and BBC London 94.9.

Dunlop's work as a historian has been featured on various television networks, including BBC1 London, BBC2, Discovery Europe, Channel 4, UKTV History, and the History Channel (USA). She has won several awards for her work, including a Royal Television Society award for her contributions to the regional magazine show Inside Out West in 2005. In 2007, Dunlop filmed Paranormal Egypt, a six-part series, with Derek Acorah in Egypt.

In addition to her work in television and radio, Dunlop is also a prolific writer. Her articles have appeared in several British newspaper publications, including The Guardian, The Independent, The Mail on Sunday, and The Herald. Dunlop has written three oral history books about the women who grew up in a 20th century marked by war and technological advancements. Her latest book, "Army Girls," was inspired by the 80th anniversary of WWII female conscription and explores themes of war, class, sexism, and patriotism. Dunlop's first book, "To Romania with Love," is an experimental memoir about the country she has a deep connection with, and she is currently working on her fifth book, which has a royal theme and features a female protagonist at war.
