Thomas E. Sniegoski is a prolific American author, best known for his fantasy novels aimed at both adults and young readers. He has written over two dozen novels, including the Fallen series for young adults, which was adapted into a trilogy of TV movies by ABC Family Channel. Other notable series for teen readers include Sleeper Code, Sleeper Agenda, Force Majeure, and The Brimstone Network.
Sniegoski was born in Massachusetts and raised as a Roman Catholic. As a child, he did not have any specific interests, but he did have a favorite book, Where the Wild Things Are. Today, he is an avid collector of comic books, DVDs, and books. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife, LeeAnne, and their adopted dog, Kirby.
In addition to his work for teen readers, Sniegoski has also written several novels for adults. His first adult novel, A Kiss Before the Apocalypse, was published in 2008, followed by Dancing on the Head of a Pin in 2009. He has also written books for younger readers, such as Billy Hooten: Owlboy and the fantasy quartet OutCast, which he co-authored with Christopher Golden. OutCast is currently in development as a film at Universal.
Sniegoski is also a successful comic book writer, with credits including Stupid, Stupid Rat Tails, a prequel miniseries to the international hit Bone. He had the honor of collaborating with Bone creator Jeff Smith on the project, making him the only writer Smith has ever asked to work on those characters. Sniegoski and Golden have also collaborated on several creator-owned comic book series, including The Sisterhood and Talent, both of which are in development for feature films.
