Tia Williams

Tia Williams, a native of Northern Virginia, began her journey in the literary world after graduating with a BA in English Literature. She kick-started her career in the publishing industry as an editorial assistant at Doubleday Books in New York City.

Williams' career then transitioned to journalism, where she became a beauty editor for various magazines, including Elle, Glamour, Lucky, Teen People, and Essence. In 2004, she made a significant contribution to the beauty blog industry by launching her award-winning site, Shake Your Beauty. This pioneering effort led to the publication of her debut novel, The Accidental Diva, in the same year. She also authored two young adult novels, It Chicks, and Sixteen Candles, which further established her reputation in the literary world.

According to NBC News, Tia Williams is a "writer's writer with a fashionista twist." Her novel, The Perfect Find, was published in 2016 and has been adapted into a Netflix film starring Gabrielle Union. Her latest novel, Seven Days in June, was an instant success, becoming a New York Times and USA Today bestseller, as well as a Reese's Book Club pick for June 2021. A TV series adaptation of Seven Days in June is currently in development with Will Packer Productions. Williams' upcoming novel, A Love Song for Ricki Wilde, is set to publish on Feb. 6, 2024. She currently holds the position of Editorial Director at Estee Lauder Companies and resides in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter.
